I have been involved with Skills USA for the last 12 years. It is an international organization that competes in Intro to Wood, Cabinetmaking and Carpentry and more. Type in Skills USA and see what comes up for a local chapter near you. In Southern California we have a large chapter with over 2000 students competing in auto, HVAC, graphic design, robotics, welding, culinary and pretty much all aspects of Career Technical Education. I strongly suggest you listen to Mike Rowe and his message to congress about skills in America and his opening speech to SkillsUSA National Convention.
