Always looking for some woodshop recognition I found a project for 2nd year high school students to make a manufacturing run next fall. Unfortunately I first learned of the game when my son came home from college winter break and made one. I have since seen the game in many of his pictures, all involving a solo cup full of beverage with a head on it. I made another one, which my friend took from me and used with his early elementary age son who struggles with math. The boy’s math skills greatly improved. I plan to have my students make a game for each elementary learning support teacher in the district (about 20). The old school version of the game is called “shut the box”. Google that. Another version is called Klackers. You can go to www.Klackers.com to learn how to play. PLEASE have you speakers turned off if you play at school, this on-line version includes some common vulgarities that are NOT school appropriate. I will send pictures if requested. rlister@dasd.org

I have a $2 mancala board in my room that I have to put away every day. The kids love it and many have made their own.
I am definitely making one of these today since they have been asking me if I have any other games.
